Global Warming finally brings it... warmed up to 34F in the garage. (1.11 C)

2/19/2021 Friday + 11 days many involved the snow blower.

    Deadlift 135x3 225x2 245x3

Last dead session (1/27) was 265, and maybe I should have just gone for it.
But I was determined to "not do anything stupid"... not doing anything would be stupid, and getting hurt would be stupid.
The bar felt a lot better at 34 than 22F.

You are right with that statement. We are better off moderating the load after periods away from the weights.

What happens when your pvc frame collapses on your bass boat???
    You have a giant slushy.
Oh, and guess who had to build a new and stronger frame?
My daughter's dog (Mookles) had hip surgery last week.
Plenty of motivation there to keep lifting... the dog is not loving the process.
    I doubt I would either.

This snow business sure can keep us busy. I've had enough.

Your rack is made of PVC? Yikes. No wonder it collapsed. What are you building it with now?

The PVC itself never sheared or shattered. The collapse was caused by a combination of problems.
    1. pitch was not steep enough for snow to shed easily
    2. only a single rope at the top provided any resistance to torsion load (aka the pvc cross members twisted too much)

Now the pitch is 45 degrees, should shed much better.
3 Ropes with knots and duct tape provide considerably more resistance to twisting.

I was an engineering major for two semesters. LOL.
The biggest problem with the new design is wind load.

It's only got to last until spring.

    Friday March 5, 2021

Bench 45x5 115x5 156x5,4 145x5 ok too much time off to repeat last
    Squat 45x3 135x3 175x3x3 -10

Glad to "show up" and get through the reps on my squat for a change.
Clearly something is wrong with my squat.
Deadlift up next... a better lift for me.

Still it's good to get the work in. Mine drops off from missed sessions also.
