    4/2/2021 GOOD Friday

    Bench 156x5,5,5 +1

    Squat 167x3,3,3 +2

Sort of embarrassing that my bench for reps is 156... but no where near as embarrassing as 167 on the squat... no those aren't kilos.

Just going consistent with how I log in my paper log wt(lbs) x reps, reps, reps

Half of a department I work with closely was laid off last week.
Still not sure who was affected because I'm not doing the same things I do normally with them.
This happened right about when I thought I was out.
No point in having survivors guilt, been there done that.
But, it's not a good feeling.

I think my post with the 180 squat a couple sessions ago is a typo. Paper logs say 165.
Since I apparently can't be trusted to log accurately, I'm trying to make it simple and clear.
I doubt the problem is warmups at this point, so we don't need them.

I feel like I've found a better groove for both these lifts. That will play out in the coming weeks.
Going for 3 workout a week but going to have to be happy with skipping one a week I suspect.

    Have a Happy Easter!

Don't feel like the lone ranger with your weights CP as I am right there with you. Little tweaks and or work related issues can pop up at any time. I look at it as we both have a base to build on. We are not at the beginning any more even though it can be disheartening at times. It could always be worse. We should probably feel blessed compared to some people in their sixties and seventies.

You have a GOOD Friday and a Happy Easter as well.

I am in the same boat as both of you guys. I have been pretty consistent with " exercising" the past few years and not much to show as far as strength gains. I was showing my 13yo grandson my old trying logs from about 25 years ago and he said "what happened? '.i said its time..

I hope those vaccine actually work.

Good work on your deadlift. I'm glad that you kept the weight balanced.

    Press 104x3,3,3 +1

    Squat 170x3,3,3 +3

Did an extra set of 3 squats at 135 because someone didn't load the bar.
Squats finally starting to "feel better".

    4/9/2021 Friday

    Bench 157x3,3,3 +1

    Squat 172x3,3,3 +2

The Janson / J&J shot from yesterday afternoon had no noticeable side effects... other than my wife watching for me to fall over.
I thought my bench might be impacted but I made the lifts with no unusual "sensations".

I'm not sure the Janson would have been my choice... if I had one... but it would be now. LOL.

    starting strength coach development program
From what I've been reading, most of the "elder" loggers here have opted to get the vaccine. I wasn't going to get it, but due to peer pressure did. #2 Pfizer scheduled next Monday.
