We can buy each other a drink. I'm having some physical problems. Nothing major but I'm thinking about things that Sully scolds me for. So, it would be good to see you again.

    9/15/2021 Wednesday

    Lat Pulldown 100x5 145x5,5,5

    Dead 135x3 225x0 225x3

Glad I got some work in. Work and travel have been an issue.

Got a lot of time on the boat watching eagles in northern Wisconsin.

9/17/2021 Friday.... or as Rip says Fridee

    Press 72x5 102x5,5,5

    Squat 45x3 115x1 165x3,3,3

Tweaked rt knee on last squat session. Aggravated it several times, still swollen and sore.
Suspect I should have done light squats sooner, but was traveling and working.

Am I the only one who has to do double shifts before and after a vacation?
My "project boat" was great. Northern Wisconsin was wonderful, only needed the bimini one day.
Found 3 eagle nests on this lake, I suspect there are 8. They are hard to find.
One eagle is fond of catching fish and dragging them to shore. I have a picture of this one standing on the shore in what looks like a scenery shot on my phone.
Hypothetically, I can tell you that Wim Hof breathing works well to prevent hangovers in case one might have hypothetically over done it.

    Bench 45x5 115x3 150x3,3,3

    Squat 45x3 115x1 175x3,3,3

Knee improving, should have done light squats sooner.

    9/30/2021 Thursday

Lat Pulldown 100x5 145x3,2 135x5 ok, that wasn't the plan

Dead 135x3 205x1 235x3 better than last cycle

A bit preoccupied. At work I control 5 computers and run a number of analytic processes on them.
Lost control of some on Monday, the rest on Tuesday.
Very weird, taking too long to escalate. They are virtual machines, so I don't have meaningful access to the boxes, just rdp or bureaucracy.
If I were to behave rationally, I would be lifting more consistently instead of stressing out.

Any plans to retire so you can focus on more satisfying avocations?

I have found my recent studies and readings of stoicism and the Meditations of Marcus Aurelius have had a steadying effect on my own occasional tribulations. Quotes from Norman Vincent Peale (somewhat of a stoic himself, who knew!?) don't hurt either.

    Carson:
Have pulled out the old spreadsheets. Secretly plotting my escape.

    Mark:
Stoic - a person who can endure pain or hardship without showing their feelings or complaining.
I guess my whining definitionally disqualifies me from being a stoic.
To Carson's point.... maybe I would be more stoic if I retired.

    10/7/2021 Thursday

Squat 45x3 115x1 176x1,3,3,3 (water meter change guy came during first set)

You might be surprised how much Marcus Aurelius pissed and moaned about getting old and sore in his Meditations. I sure was. He did go on to insist how important it was to rise above it. But he definitely acknowledged his mortality.
