Mike are you staying warm enough in that garage?

    Fred J:
Good point. It was 34 in there yesterday despite being 18. It was 30 the other day while warmer outside. I think the garage door might have be slightly ajar due to ice.
I wear a heavy sweatshirt/sweat pants and a watch cap. I'm certainly comfortable except for my hands on the cold bar.
I guess when it is cold I could go in the house between sets.

The rack pull went up well, so I think I just did too much snow removal the day before my halted dead lifts at that same weight.

I'm very excited about the prospect of three wheels for reps.

    Mike:

As Dr Sullivan says when you are older your joints are not juicy like younger people so after an elbow injury last year I now have an old hair dryer which I aim inside my sweats and aimed depending on what muscles being worked. For me: shoulders and elbows always and sometimes lower back. So if you are comfortable otherwise in the garage you might try this. (good for cold hands too)

I have tried to learn that after heavy work like your snow removal to either postpone a day or stop at the last warm up weight (90% of planned work set) and do a set or two of 3. YMMV

You will no doubt be over 300 for reps soon

    1/10/2022 Monday 13F outside / 30F in garage

    Rehab arc/partial press 42x5,5,5

    Halted DL 135x3 185x1 225x1 252x1 280x0 3" 265x3

Left shoulder coming along. Got 280 off the ground, but not as as high as the last HDL session.
Next time I'll repeat 275 then go to 1 pound incr.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised that my rack pull is stronger than my HDL.

I agree about the rack pull...both will go up I bet just in a different curve.

    Another good version...

Wednesday 1/12/2022 couldn't even see my breath in garage... quite comfy

    Rehab arc/press 42x4 62x5,5,5 Getting there

    Rack pull 135x3 185x1 225x1 257x1 285x3 315x1 *PR* all double overhand, no straps

I guess that answers the grip strength question. Felt I had one in the tank.

    Fred J:
Gotta admit the Outlaws do a better job on Ghost Riders... But still not as good as Green Grass and High Tides.

    Mr. Bingley:
285 felt too much like a warmup. Wondered what 3 wheels would feel like. Felt like maybe that should have been for reps.
