Thanks for the kind words.
My brother just challenged me to the "Hilly 100", a bicycle ride in Indiana. In October. 2022.
He's also shopping road bikes, has a $4200 model picked out but thinks he can build it for $1200.
This bikes are typically only good for 100 KG. I'm 100KG.... easy.
(113.6364 KG but who's counting).
walked (trekking poles) my 0.45 mile course in 17:50.
That is a pace of 39.63 minutes/mile.
Perhaps alternating lifting and walking perhaps I can get to a point where I could do the Hilly 100, and not break and not break the bike.
I'll need to be doing two laps in that time before I can graduate to bike training.

FYI, there's a place down here name of Touch of Nature that recently opened up some several miles of trails for mountain bikes. Mountain Bike Trails | Touch of Nature Outdoor Education Center | SIU
But if you're interested, I'd wait until well into Autumn when it cools down more and the trees light up.

I may have to bring my bike and kayak down there Mark. Fall sounds like a great idea. Could also be a grandkid trip. Bring the tracker grizzly for that.

I can't remember ever failing a lift when the Hallelujah Chorus is on. Now, Randy Newman, is a different story.
