Personal trainer was working with a guy on the squat rack next to me. I kept my mouth shut but it was hard. Srarted with him squatting 155 just shy of deep enough. So trainer added weight jammed 10 lb plates under his heals and told him to only go down about 1/4-1/2 range. He had on running shoes. I think it was his first trainer session

After the shoulder replacement everything is reset. Deadlift and press might plateau soon. Not sure the juice is worth the squeeze on a lot more progress. I am trying to make myself lift conservatively. I also ordered a cable stack to add a lot more supplemental stuff to my routine. Protecting that joint is an ongoing effort
