I'm sure there are improvements to be made. I posted it for a form check and they suggested focusing on being tighter. Balance is dfferent with this bar. I'm learning. This was 245. I did 255 yesterday and will be at 265 tomorrow. The weight doesn't feel bad at all, just learning how to keep it properly balanced.

What you suggest it for others to buy? I'm thinking seriously about purchasing one, didn't realize there were so many choices. Is there another you would rather have?

I use something we got from Amazon. Could you send a link to this particular bar?

I would not hesitate to buy it again. The delivery time is about 3 weeks ...mine was even a bit past that, but they are good to do business with. and I believe they make things as you order them. it is a small shop and the guy has a very good reputation. One of the things I like about it the most is the angle of the camber. it is 45 degrees from the handles which puts the weight toward your back more and doesn't throw you forward like some of them do. I did a lot of research, looking for something that would be more like a low bar squat. There is one called Powerlift that looks really good but it is $800 plus shippoinng. There is the Kabuki transformer Bar which isadjustable. I Have used that one, when I was working with a SSC and I liked it. It is $500 plus shipping. Fortis strength has a safety squat bar that has handles paralel to the bar and they claim that it is designed to be more of a low squat bar. the camber looks to be about 45 degrees. The Edge Fitness Systems bar that I have feels rock solid. The welds are very nice. I read that it doesn't work with spring clips....they are too big. I have some lock jaw collars that fit it quite well. The price on the Edge bar was also really good.250 plus shipping, which probably puts most people around 325 in the US. also, I think that if you don't like the long handles you can request a different size when you purchase.
