Fair amount of work on the farm this weekend.
Switched up my workout tonight so my wife could squat while I did deads.

    deadlift
    135x5,5
    185x5
    225x5
    275x3
    315x2
    330x5

    ssb Squat
    45x5,5
    135x5
    185x5
    225x3
275x5,5. Wasn't getting the depth so I dropped the weight to 245
    245x5,5,5

    SSB squats
    45x5x2
    135x5
    185x5
    225x5
    245x5
    255x5
265x5,6,5. didn't even know it, but I did a Jesus rep on the second set. the weight isn't the limiting factor, it's my poor breathing and eratic form. I almost have to swallow after drawing a breath, to make the airway shut sufficiently to prevent groaning out the air as I lift the weight.

    Deadlift.
    135x5,5
    185x5
    225x5
    275x3
    315x2
335x5. I avoided the temptation to throw another 70 lbs on there and go for a PR.

Heh, sometimes you just gotta say to heck with it and go for broke!

    Great lifting, Dad.

Did some pushups yesterday and did a Woodchuck death march today. We had lots of storm damage on the farm and I had some 60-70 year old pines fall into the pond. So we had to cut them up and hump them out along the path next to the pond. Was able to use wife's jeep and winch to pull some out of the pond . the others require a hand powered winch. I had to force myself to eat tonight because I just wasn't hungry....simply tired.
A couple days recovery and I will be back under the bar.....still have clean up to finish tomorrow.

Thanks, Oldster. I felt like it was at the very edge of my ability. I will continue to train upward until I an doing my sets well above 350 before I think of going for another PR.
having a week between trining sessions sucks the momentum out of my training but you just have get back in and to press on.

Thank you Chad. 400 feels reachable if i can keep my training consistent. I cerrainly have not had the fairy tale strength increases that some of the guys half my age experience while on NLP but i have definately gotten stronger and i fee like i have a lot more in the tank. Persistance and determination has been the key.

Today i slipp into the company gym and did some old school gymfuckery for biceps and triceps with dumbbells and cables.
