Yearly Update
Today I turn 41 (actually not until tomorrow but...).
Last year: Finally made it through a hockey season while training and not getting totally burned out! Gains were pretty much non-existent but I learned and look forward to applying to training during this hockey season. Also started training BJJ but have yet to really find a place for it in my schedule I've been averaging about 3-4 times per month which is obviously not enough to for any type of proficiency but it is tons of fun! Switched back into a linear progression after doing many months of inefficient intermediate programming and getting frustrated with the lack of progress (though that is probably what got me through hockey season). Finally visited with a SSC and got some very good feedback and have made some form changes that have stuck and are helping alot. Started eating better and losing some inches off my belly. Got some good momentum going over the last couple of months and feel I have developed a training schedule and progression that will help balance training, progress, and life obligations. All in all not a terrible year.
Next year: Will continue on the linear workout to workout progression for probably a couple more months before switching over to HLM. Look forward to applying last years worth of learnings and finally breaking through a long time plateau!
