Today felt really good! Best day in a while, especially since I finally got all 3 sets of the overhead press and felt like there was some left in the tank.

Tried to learn the hook grip today for light deadlift day. Doesn't start hurting till I get around 225, but then it hurts!

Missed my deadlift reps for the first time in my LP today. Reps 1-3 felt pretty good until I lost my grip at the end of rep 3. Reset my grip and got rep 4 to go but it was UGLY and I could feel my back rounding. Rep 5 didn't even get off the floor. I think I didn't have enough protein and it compromised my recovery, will attempt to fix! It's too early for LP to end!

Got my workout in yesterday (Friday). It was the last one of week 8. I thought my squats felt super easy then I realized I had accidentally looked at my numbers from Monday and not Wednesday and duplicated my Wednesday weight. Oh well, there's always next Monday to hit that sweet 280.

Holy crap today sucked so bad. I ran into a wall bigtime and it was UGLY!. I did the squats ok even though they were a little difficult. Then the overhead press just completely collapsed on me. By the end I was way off what I had done before. Then the deadlifts were two reps and nothing. This is something like week 11 of lifting and I'm thinking it's time to take the advice from the Matt Reynold's podcast on squeezing out extra gains from the novice progressions.

Went out of town over the weekend and missed my Friday session, but I think the rest did me some good. I hit most of the lifts I failed on spectacularly last week, and got pretty close on my press after a total catastrophe last week. I think I'll hit it on Friday so I don't have to reset.

Slipped and fell in the rain last week and tweaked my back. Rested it a few days with just keeping it loose with some bodyweight stuff, but now I'm back. Started a little slow on the Squat just to feel things out, but the rest went pretty well.
