    Wednesday 12/20/17

    BW: 234
    Squat (light day) 205 x 5 x 3
    Press: 157.5 x 5 x 3
    Deadlift: 310 x 5 x 1

Felt pretty decent. Didn't set my back as well on deads as last session.

How was your meeting with the SS coach? Have you tried knee wraps? Do you plan on visiting the coach from time to time?

The session with Coach Raimondi went very well, picked up a lot of great form tips, gear tips, programming info, etc... Great guy, very sharp.

He's about 4 hours away from me by car so I'm gonna see how I progress over the next couple months and go from there.

    Catching up on this log.

    12/27/17-Session with SSC Raimondi

    Squat- 225 x 5 x 3
    Press 2.0- 135 x 5 x 3
    Deadlift- 295 x 5 x 2 (think this was right, could have been 285)
    Bench - 225 x 5 x 3

Very productive session, highly recommend coach Raimondi.

    12/29/17

Squat: 225 x 5 x 3 (changed my form a bit with SSC, working on technique)
Press 2.0: 135 x 5 x 2 (still feels awkward. cue: knees tight, aim for nose)
    Strict Press: 160 x 5 x 1
    Chins 6, 6, 6

    1/2/18
    Squat 230 x 5 x 3
    Bench 250 x 5 x 3
    Rows 135 x 5 x 3 (1st time)

Coach said I was about 1"-2"es too deep on squat depth. Think squatting with feet more turned out, a narrower stance, and a little higher is helping my knee soreness some.

    BW: 232.5 (oops)
    Deadlift: 315 x 5 x 1
    Strict Press: 162.5 x 5 x 1 (Very grindy. Don't think I would have gotten 5 on 2nd workset)
    Press 2.0: 140 x 5 x 2
    Squat (light day): 185 x 5 x 3.

Changed up my light squat day order, doing deads 1st and squats last. On deads setting up a little closer to the bar than I was before per coach. Need to eat more, might have to start tracking macros again if I keep losing weight.

Knees barking again today, at least it was on light squat day. Side note: It's f'ing freezing outside.

Went ice fishing on lake mille lacs for the weekend, walleye bite was slow. Did my 1st cross country skiing in 20 years or so with the GF, a 3 mile "easy" trail, def not my forte but had a pretty good time. Only ate shit once, call it a win.

    1/8/18
    BW: 233.2
    Squat: 235 x 5 x 3
    Bench: 252.5 x 5 x 3
    Chins: 7, 6, 6

Benching more than I squat for now with this latest squat reset...embarrassing. Knees better today. "Tight hamstrings" cue helping, narrower stance too maybe. Gonna try and eat my way up to 240 over the next 2 months.

    1/10/18

    BW: 236.2
    Deadlift: 320 x 5 x 1 (hook grip hurting thumbs more)
    Strict Press: 165 x 5
    Press 2.0: 145 x 5 x 2
    Squat (light day): 185 x 5 x 3

Got a new Stoic belt, much better than the old tapered one I had.

    BW: 236
    Squat: 240 x 5 x 3
    Bench: 255 x 5 x 3 (getting tougher. 2nd set easier than 1st though.)
Rows: 145 x 5 x 3 (starting to get the hang of these. Felt really easy, start taking 10 pound jumps).

Going to Vikings playoff game today vs Saints. SKOL! If vikes can get turnovers on D and get an early lead it'll be a win. Can't fall behind early.
