WORKOUT 16
Squat 215X5, 215X5, 215X5
Deadlift 260X5
Press 130X5, 130X5, 130X5
Rest between sets 4:00m
+Weight 294lb
+Squat went well felt strong warming up, felt very comfortable with bar in low bar position. I don't seem to lean forward enough and don't know how this is going to affect things longer term, I don't feel like I'm leading with my knees, my knee goes just past my toes. I think its a matter of less depth to achieve more bent over position.
+Deadlift was hard, my first rep looked beautiful, then it was more and more of a grind, going to post a video on technique forms or elsewhere for guidance as to if to continue deadlifting every third day or alternating Heavy / and light or barbell rows. I haven't decided yet if barbell rows are better than more deadlift volume at lower weight as I feel the deadlift at a lighter weight fits in more with a cleans as a light pulling day.
+Press went well, going with thumbless grip helps alot.

+Deadlift, I took the advice given on the programming forum and speed up my set, it was much easier spending less time trying to get tight
+Good workout all in all
+I am hoping I can end NLP with a theoretical total over 1000

You are a strong young man and will get stronger in time. Just a little note on the DL: It's obvious that you will be lifting much more in time. However, don't leave the bar on the floor so long. You are burning you energy account up far too quickly. The five lifts should have been completed in 60-70 seconds. Not over 2 minutes. As soon as the weight is on the floor get set up quickly and properly and lift the bar. Don't take so long to set up. Just set up and lift.
If you can get to a certified SS coach do it.
Thank you Carson, the speed between reps on deadlift is definitely something I am working on, Baker on programming gave similar comment. It helps that the weight is getting heavier in one sense since I can pull myself into better back position quicker than relying on a hard contraction with little resistance since the bar would just rise. I will keep working on that speed. I try and think setup and PULL! but in the bent over position feel I need a couple more breaths and then the big breath to brace maybe due to poor conditioning and or my larger gut.
As for coaches, the closest one is 5-6 hours away from me.
Believe me I often have the same problem. Sully yells at me frequently.
You may wish to have some coaching online.
WORKOUT 19
Squat 230X5, 230X5, 230X5
Deadlift 275X5
Bench Press 215X5, 215X5, 215X5
Rest between set 4:00m
+Worked out at night again completely exhausted from the day and this last week, even though I didn't feel so hot, the bar speed was fast on video.
+Squat was not as good as normal, but im worn out from things outside the gym, things should improve in another week for me recovery / rest wise.
