Ate quite a bit over the weekend and slept a lot. I felt so beat up from the last week becuase of a ton of school work/extra things I had to do. I gained a bit of weight, but I felt amazing. I felt alert and happy for once lol. Y'know what they say: "Come heavy or don't come at all" haha YouTube

@droach3 - Some reps are prettier than others. It gives me mad respect for olympic weight lifters though. They make it seem so effortless...

TL;DR version: Throat hurts, training anyways.

Been a bit since I've posted. I ended up getting "strep" again and went to the walk-in to see the doctor. I thought it was really weird that I've been dealing with strep for 5 weeks with two 10-day rounds of antibiotics and asked them about the strep test they did and it came back negative. They did another "quicker" strep test on me while I was there and it also came back negative, but they decided to give me anti-biotics anyways just in case.

Fast forward 3 days (on a new set of antibiotics) and my throat keeps getting worse and worse. I end up coughing up blood and pus, and the pain I can only describe as the worst pain I've ever felt in my life. It was so excrutiating to swallow that I was nearly having panic attacks every time I did. 4th day I keep waking up from the pain (think constant fire and steel blades cutting into your neck) and 5 200mg tablets of advil doesn't even take the edge off. I can't take it anymore so I go to the ER to finally figure out wtf this is. Not mono or strep (which is why I stopped training, I didn't want anyone else to get this); blood work all comes back fine and there's nothing on the xray...So weird. Was given stronger NSAID through IV and liquid and was sent on my way. I'm now waiting for the ENT to call (Which will take a few months; <3 Canada). The GOOD news is that this is likely not contagious and it's localized to my throat (no fever or fatigue/no other symptoms) sooooo it's just stupidly painful meaning I can train!

    and train I did:

    Squat
330x5x3 (Absolutely the hardest thing I've done to date. So tired and just feeling kinesthetically stupid today on top of all the other stuff. Super proud of myself that I did it though)

    Press
    150x5x3

    Deadlift
    365x5

A super grindy, terrible workout, but I hit my numbers and I feel great about it

Exhausted today, but making pretty good progress. My press is absolutely my worst exercise. I don't get why I'm so bad at it...
