Apparently I want to weigh 240 more than I want to weigh 220. But..... Christmas cookies.....

    Bench (H)
    45x5x2
    95x5x2
    135x3
    170x1
    200x1 belt
    220x5x3 belt / 8 min

    S1: lack of focus
    S2&3: no prob (?)

    Likely +5 again next week.

    Old Man SS PR's from Mar '18 220x5,5,4 & 222.5x4. I'll claim a set PR.

All time PR was 250x1 around 19 years ago at a BW of 195.

    Press (M/L)
    53x5x2
    83x5
    108x1
    120.5x5x3

    Eyes, Quads, Abs....

    CGBP
    165x8x3

    Tunes
    Quiet Riot: Metal Health

Soundtrack to Senior year football. Every practice, every game.

Another missed musical opportunity. I saw Quiet Riot open for Sabbath in Nov '83 (Sr year). We chose to leave about 3 songs into Sabbath's set. It was cool when the bloody abortion came out and ran around on the Stonehenge set. This was Sabbath's Born Again tour with Ian Gillan of Deep Purple fame on lead vocals. Unfortunately:

    a) I was not aware of Sabbath
    b) I was not aware how much I would come to appreciate Gillan's voice and storytelling.
    c) I was not aware how much I would enjoy the Born Again album.

    Beverage
Kamikaze: Wheatley Vodka, Dekuyper Triple Sec & juice of a lime.

    All R5's: GRIND
All R4's: slightly less than grind

Dropped a back-off set and will reduce CGBP on Mon to 2x6 instead of 3x8. Triceps were still a bit fried today. Past two weeks for Press have doubt creeping in about how much longer current programming will work for that lift. Bench still seems to be moving well.

So, dropping volume 1st to see what next Fri brings.

Ambivalence toward the lower day split has turned into IDGAF.

    Squat
    45x5x2
    95x5
    135x3
    175x1 belt
    195x5x3 belt / 3 min

    S1: kinda high
S's2&3: some good, some close & some high

    Deadlift
    135x5
    225x3
    255x1 belt
    285x1 belt / hook

Video of all sets. How can a 5-step process be that difficult? Rethink approach to align form and confidence.

Inverted Row (supinated, -4 from squat height)
    1x5
    2x8

Chins (after the 1st IR set)
    BWx2,2,2,1

All would be red-lighted in a chin competition. Need to start somewhere.

    Tunage
    Pantera: Cowboys from Hell

I enjoyed the songs Cowboys from Hell and Walk, but not a Pantera "fan" when the albums came out. Recently watched the Cowboys video and noticed Diamond (as he called himself then) was wearing a Judas Priest British Steel t-shirt. Quick research led to earlier Pantera albums and the influence of Priest, the first two Def Leppard albums and other early 80's NWOBHM bands on Diamond. After listening to the 4 Pantera albums previous to Cowboys, I found their evolution intriguing and now hear the NWOBHM influence on the Cowboys from Hell and Vulgar Display of Power albums.

Not sure how missed these guys back in the day. A nod to Uncle Shug for playing an album by the band Redemption which led me to the way back machine and Fates Warning.

Received a couple of new tools: EZ-curl bar & wrist wraps. I was so excited that I forgot to Chin last night.

    Press (H)
    43x5x2
    83x5
    108x3
    128x1 belt
    143x 5 x 3 belt / wraps
    133x5 belt / wraps

All reps tough & slow. 3rd set did seem to move the best. B/O sucked. Enjoyed the wrist wraps.

Experiencing some program paralysis for the presses. I'm fairly certain that the overhead is coming to an end. Going to continue some minor tweaking hoping for a couple more weeks - which would result in a load PR.

    Bench (M)

Spent 20 of 24 hrs on Saturday sleeping with a nose running like a high-pressure hydrant.

Yesterday, today and tomorrow - roofing. Pushed this session a bit due to the roofing project.

    Bench (H)
    45x8,7
    95x5x2
    145x3
    175x1
    205x1 belt
    230 x 2 belt / wraps
    230x 5 belt / wraps
    230x3+f belt / wraps

S1: set up too far behind hooks. Hit left side on both reps
S2: R5 - the dangerous drive it to hooks instead of locking out first.
S3: nice to know one has the safeties at the proper height.

Since 10 is not equal to 15, I will be repeating next Monday.

    Press (L)
    53x5x3

Well that sounds like a fun weekend & start to the week.

I've crashed the hooks from below as well. Sure burns a lot of gas to recover from.

Mal Hombre, I believe, but it could have been either or both since they shared a bunch of songs.
