Should squat/dead more than once per week..... but the IDGAF attitude continues toward these lifts.

    Squat
    45x5x2
    95x5
    135x3
    165x1 belt
    185x5x2 belt

    Dead
    135x5
    225x3 belt
    255x1 belt / hook
    285x5 belt / hook

    Default Fri - 02/19/2021 - noon - 60 min

    am BW 243

About a month ago, I started a sugar binge with 4lbs of peanut m&m's over 3 days. Just starting to regain control.

    Bench
    45x8,7
    95x5x2
    145x5
    185x1
    215x1 belt
    240 x 5 x 3 belt / wraps / 9 min
    227.5x5x2 belt / wraps / 9 min

S1: Tough. Considered lowering wt for S2. Took video instead.
S2: Feeling of "barely" started on R1. Video showed wonky bar path (curved toward shoulders, then up)
S3: Much better bar path, but a 5 second grind on R5.
S4&5: Felt like hell. Video showed cruise control easy.

Had some doubts through warm-ups and, specifically, after S1. But I channelled Oddball and he said, "Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful the bar and weights are? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?"

    Rock 'n' Roll
    Frank Marino: Juggernaut

Another one of those "how did I miss this guy?" The first track, Strange Dreams, sounds vaguely familiar. Played a little "air bass" between sets!

If you like album oriented rock (with a touch of blues and shredding) of the late '70's through early '80s, start with the above album and work back. If you are a fan of Hendrix, start with the first Mahogany Rush (Frank's band) album and work forward.

Round 2 today. Schedule conflict tomorrow. If I get moving early enough, I'll squat in AM.

    Dead
    135x5
    225x3 belt
    265x1 belt / hook
    295x5 belt / hook

Back to the stables for standing press. 25F and 20mph wind. Sat in car between sets.

    Press
    43x5x2
    73x5
    98x3
    123x1 belt
    133x4 belt
    123x5x3 belt
    113x5 belt

After two weeks of seated press going so well, I thought 135.5x5x3 ought to be in the cards. Nope.

Left elbow and wrist still not right.

    LTE
    80 x 10 x 4

Add reps, not weight next time. A bit of a plate milestone by putting the 25's on.

It sucks when the cobbled together floor causes the bar to roll away during the set.

Lawyers Guns and Money " the shit has hit the fan".
I don't know if you like the Dead but they do a good cover of Werewolves of London.

Not much of a Dead fan, but haven't given them a listen now that I'm older.

Enjoyed the Zevon cover. Interesting that they started performing it live within a few months of Warren releasing it.
