Hi All, I’m 5’8 195lbs and 54. I started lifting March 5th using the Starting Strength Program. In fact, I took advantage of having Andy Baker nearby and had a 3 hour session with him to learn proper technique. My starting numbers for working sets were 160 Squat, 120 Bench, 245 deadlift, and 80 press. As of today and having a week off due to work travel I am at 180 Squat, 125 Bench, and 275 deadlift. Today felt like my best lifting so far. Weights went up strong and form is solid.
Oh I forgot to mention I am an Ultramarathon Runner with a 50 mile race in 3 weeks and longest run being 10iles in 26 hours.
