    Monday 6/4 weighing in at 184.6 lbs (5’ 11”)
    Squat 165x5x3
    Press 95x5x3
    Dead 205x5x1

    Wednesday 6/6
    Squat 170x5x3
    Bench 155x5x3
    Barbell Row 135x5x3

I have never done a barbell row before... felt it most in the upper shoulders later in the day. Good assistance exercise for arms, shoulders and lats. By end of next week I should be back to hitting multiple PRs!

Fails on bench made me dump weights...
Scary without spotters or adequately safe pins.
Ordered a Rogue Monster Lite rack today with spotter arm add-on, bench and weight pegs.

Will now sell my previous gear... if I had only known my real needs earlier!🤭

Mike, I would be interested to hear your impressions of online coaching.

    Rick:
It’s been really good. You have to video all your work sets and then the coach (at least MY coach) gives a few lines on how to shore up the form and every now and then some words of encouragement to keep you going as the training keeps getting harder. A big part for me has been the programming. Doing work sets and step downs that I would not have thought of. As a 56 year old, I am not lifting to compete on any timeline. I want continued improvement and really don’t care how long it takes. I have been lifting for 5 months now and still haven’t missed a session due to pain or injury. That alone is hugely positive. I’ll post some of my recent sessions soon. My training is no longer what I would call the standard linear progression but it is getting heavier every session. The first 2 months have been worth the money and the effort. Not sure where I’d be today without coaching. Going to the seminar before the coaching was also very helpful since many of the coaching cues at the seminar make total sense NOW, where they didn’t as much when the weights were lighter.
    Cheers
