Yeah that 5x5 squat workout is something else. The conditioning work takes the edge off a bit, at least for me.
Friday
Squat: 225x5x1 + 215x5x2
I'm deloading and doing an LP on squats to get the grip/arm position right. 225 was a bit much, had trouble keeping the upper back tight, so I dropped down to 215 for the last two sets. I've brought my hands in about 1" per side. So far, no shoulder pain and thoracic spine feels tighter.
Press: 137.5x1x5
Felt great, still a few more weeks of singles here, I think.
Dead: 330x1x5
OK. Probably a few more weeks of singles.
Saturday
Skipped conditioning, checked a trailcam (which was stolen, classy) and went fishing.
I'm considering signing up for SSOC, since the gains opportunity cost of deloads for form improvements is high.

Volume day
Squats: 225x5x3
Upper back felt tight for all. Shoulders also good. This reset will also be good for ironing out a slight rightward drift that's been cropping up deep into my fives.
Bench: 212.5x5x5
Volume day PR!
P cleans: 72.5x3x5
These were just OK. I need to keep my elbow speed up and/or drop a little lower.

Missed a few entries, didn't miss the gym. I've started SSOC. Great experience so far, working with Caleb Krieg.
Today (running an LP)
Squat 235x5x3
Press 120x5x3
Dead 305x5x1
