    Worked out at Texas Strength Systems today and it was awesome! Great gear and plenty of room. Nice people too.

    Probably going to try to get out of my contract at LA Fitness and switch to TSS. It’s a little further than Heavy Metal but the hours are more accommodating and it doesn’t feel as crowded.

    Got the 230lb. DL for all 5 reps today. LP continues! Felt really good to get that. I switched to alt. grip for last two reps. Seemed to help psychologically.

    Bench and Squat felt good today. Squat should be to my body weight soon, which is exciting.

    Now, off to eat my weight in fajitas and rice!

    Press 100 2x5
    DL 235 1x5

    Big whiff on the last set of press today. Couldn’t even get one rep. I was grinding on all the previous reps too.

    Plenty of food but realizing late Sun morning to early Tuesday is not quite 48 hrs.

    Will be better rested when I try again Sat and hopefully get it.

    Just in case I’m nearing the end of 5 lb. jumps (on the press), I’ve ordered some micro plates from Dan Miller.

    Our current lifts are almost identical.
    Similar size and weight too, I'm 1 inch shorter and fatter.
    Good to have someone the same size to watch their progress.

    You should be switching to phase 2 now and be doing power cleans.
    You shouldn't be deadlifting 3 times a week at this stage.

    I thought the same thing but I asked with the SSC that taught me the lifts and he said I should keep going up until the deadlift isn’t progressing. Probably won’t be long before I need to bring in PC.

    Your last deadlift was 1 x 3. Was that a failed set?

    Super busy and stressful day today. Had to squeeze this workout in and I don’t think I ate enough. Will try again for the missed DL this weekend. Hopefully I’ll be able to pull it with less overall stress and more calories.

    Well-rested and well-fed. Got ‘em all!

    Also, I got to use my new belt from Pioneer/General Leather Craft. 3”, 10mm thick, black suede leather with a single-prong.

    Made my squat and DL feel much better! I love being able to contract my abs that hard.

    It didn’t do much for me on the press. Might try again once I’m putting up more weight.
