    Holy smokes, man.

I am very excited to see you progress on the lifts. If you pace yourself and stay patient and consistent, the amount of strength you can gain on a frame your size is just staggering.

As weeks go by my guess is that you'll see pounds come OFF your body and go ON to the barbell, until it all meets in the middle somewhere, followed by years of lifting at supra-bodyweight maximums. If you're not squatting 500 and deadlifting 600 well before you hit my age (40), I will be positively shocked.

Dude please keep logging. I'm glad you're here.

Thank you for the great feedback. I intend on taking this very seriously. This log help serves as accountability for me week in and week out. I plan on posting small video montages in it (similar to the video I have posted on the squats) with various lifts from time to time as well.

Having a community to lean on (whether that comes in the form of supportive encouragement or constructive criticism) makes a big difference. At least, for me it does. This training log will be updated regularly with total honesty and transparency.

    Squat form looks good.
Lifting weights is the answer, keep going.

Thank you and I will keep going.

Read the 3rd edition but noticed at first that the bar was way out in front of my feet (along with my knees).

Thankfully I got to work with a certified Starting Strength coach and he immediately identified the issue. That hour long session has improved my form by a lot on both squats and deadlifts.
