Back on NLP after a long layoff/sporadic training. A little background:

Male, 51, 5'11", 214#. Company A, 3/505 PIR as 11B back in the day. Secondary MOS 67T for a SAR unit. West coast. Surfing & skiing. Ski instructor in Shasta. As a kid, played all sports: baseball, football, wrestling, soccer, rugby. More eclectic sports: skydiving, climbing, shooting. Play golf and tennis with the wife. Did SS Seminar in 2012 in Bklyn, SBWC. At the time doing tree work for a living. Now in field engineer position in renewable energy sector. Sometimes lifting 100# into place, up ladders, hills, show the kids how to work. Lots of driving, paperwork. Had ACL reconstruction >10 yrs, broken tib/fib, collarbones, fingers, arthritis in c spine and knee- the usual age-related maladies. Diet pretty much meat & vegetables. Lots of BBQ. Lots of whey protein. Last run at NLP, squat work sets at 280/285- stuck. Deads at 315. Birth of son, got sidetracked and off LP. This was almost 6 years ago.

    Last session,
    2/26/2019
    Warm up on C2 for 5 min/1000m
    Squat- 225x5x3

Let's see if I can get a lot stronger this time around...

Still feel like doo-doo but warmed up and did

    S-235x5x3.

Attempted to press after warming up and couldn't complete set 1. Back at it on Monday, hopefully with better results.

Sometimes one works through illness. Sometimes one must rest. It's mostly guesswork. Have you ever worked with a SS coach. They can give a second opinion.

Why do I need a second opinion when I feel shitty and would rather rest than train that day?
Explain what you mean by “have you ever worked with a SS coach?”
