Back at it today after missing a full week due wrist sprain (PC), traveling and a heavy work schedule. This week is back to normal but...
I think I'm done with the LP. Max efforts every workout is starting to kill me (more mentally). Having to eat crazy amounts of food just to go up every workout is making me fat. I'm pushing past a 40" waist and my wife will no longer let me sleep in our bed because of my snoring.
I have made so much progress from where I started in 2017 I think it's time to move on from the NLP. All of my lifts are so close to failure. Will I ever know? Nope, and I'm OK with that. The only lift I am disappointed in is my 225# bench. The rest are at levels I'm good with.
So I started tonight on the Garage Warrior program and made the bench the focus instead of the press. Ready to rock the twelve weeks. Going to watch my diet add some summer cardio and trim up. And hope to lose enough fat to stop snoring.
Here are my ending LP PR's
Press - 165#
Squat - 290#
DL - 385#
Bench - 225#
PC - 140#
Will continue a heavy focus on Chinups, this is one of my weak lifts.
Will also work on PC form.
Tonight's workout
H Squat - 230x3x6
M Pause bench - 165x3x6
M Paused DL - 260x3x6
Squats are feeling great again! Hip Drive!
P Bench - Seemed too light even with a 3 second pause. Maybe combine that with shorter rest time.
PDL - Between hand strength, the pause at 2 inches and 6 reps these were more difficult than I anticipated. Got easier as the sets progressed.
I am thoroughly enjoying training and am feeling strong with no pain!
Will you be starting a new log in the Intermediate section?
Also, grats on finishing LP!
