    7/11

    Squat
    325 x 5
    295 x 5
    295 x 5

    Bench Press
    252.5 x 5 - PR
    225 x 5
    225 x 5

    Powerclean
    135 x 3 x 5

    67 minutes total.

On the squat, I was having a hard time keeping my knees shoved out, so I dropped the weight a bit more. I intended for this to be a light squat day since I haven’t squared much recently.

Bench PR felt ok, but I have a tendency to really bounce the bar off my chest on the 4 and 5th rep and I felt that happen during this set.

Power cleans felt very smooth on set 4 and 5.

    7/18

    Press
    165 x 4
    165 x 5 - PR
    165 x 5

So I’m moving away from the main lifts for a while to do some other things. I won’t stay away forever, but for now I’d say I’m finished with my LP. I learned a lot, what a great experience.

    Lifts ended up at:
    Squat 365 x 5
    Press 165 x 5
    Bench Press 252.5 x 5
    Deadlift 380 x 5
Body weight 220 lbs from 210

Very excited about the progress I made squatting. It was always the lift I struggled with the most compared to others. I was never taught how to do it properly and once I finally figured out the basics, what a difference it made. My best ever 1 rep max on squat was 315 before this program. I smashed that!

I will eventually reset and work back up and try to pass these PR’s.

Thanks to everyone who offered me encouragement on this log and for keeping your own logs. Reading these logs was the reason I started running LP

Restarting with an LP until the end of the year(more or less). I still only have 390 lbs but I have two more 45’s on the way from the strength co. I hope to keep progressing on my deadlift and run my squat up to 400lbs as well.
I’m going to be more intentional about keeping the distance between my deadlift and squat numbers as I restart. I’m over the first few light workouts causing me DOMS so feeling good. Not paying very much attention to my diet.

    Today’s workout was
    Squats
    225 x 5 x 3 sets

    Bench press
    205 x 5 x 3 sets

    Deadlift
    315 x 5 x 1

You've made great progress but man it seems like you blow through these workouts. As your weights get very impressive in the squat and deads don't be shy about resting properly between sets. good stuff all around

    11/7

    Squat
    305 x 5 x 3 sets

    Press
    145 x 5 x 3 sets

    Deadlift
390 x 5 - PR. Rounded my lower back a little bit on a few reps.

Bingley I have been keeping track of my workout times and so far they have mostly been between 60-70 min. Squat is going slow for now, so I can try to pump up my deadlift worksets.
