This is my first time doing any kind of weight training. Started on 2/6/20 as a 30 y/o, 5’9”, 136lb, male. I got the book and read it.

I’ve been eating pretty good. Around 4K calories a day. Plenty of protein. Sleeping 6-8hrs a night usually.

Last workout was on 3/13, then gym shut down for coronavirus. No weights at home so I’ve been squatting my girlfriend and doing push-ups, not sure how to get a deadlift yet (may stitch some handles onto her sweatshirt), the dog squirms when I overhead press him so I should probly stop. Open to suggestions.

Coronavirus shelter in place is on as of the end of the week. Really glad I got the weights. No rack yet, so I’m planning to do squats starting from the bottom position off some sawhorses.

Spent breakfast reading over some posts in the forum. Inspired me to add an extra piece of peanut butter toast and an extra banana to my breakfast. That voice that says, "You're doing fine, you're eating enough," keeps creeping in. Which may be true, but fuck that voice. Drown it in pizza and cookies and milk. I'm gonna put a suit on a layaway with a 42 inch waist and get to work.

Given your weight it may be a long time before you need a 42" waist. I'm 5'9" at 227 lbs and don't have a 42" waist. What size suit jacket do you wear?
