Thread: Back At It after a 9 month break.

    Out of interest I checked my progress the previous time doing starting strength

    First failed rep on bench was at 72.5kg
    First failed rep on ohp was at 47.5kg
    First failed rep on deadlift was at 100kg due to injury.

    I've exceeded my deadlift progress by eliminating injuries.

    It will be interesting if I can go further on Bench and OHP without failing a rep this time around.

    On another note, I certainly feel doing light deadlift days this time around (eg 65% of heavy day) instead of power cleans is of far greater benefit to deadlifting. I guess the only caveat to that would be if you were capable of power cleaning 65% of your deadlift weight I would probably do the power clean.
