If you have any really entertaining observations, make sure to post them over in the "Joined a New Gym Last Night" thread. It has been a bit quiet for the past year or so, for some odd reason.

I'd post, but then I'd be telling on myself.
I think I've posted there before, but that was back when I was going to a roidbro gym before COVID. Kind of a different environment at LA Fitness. Wish I had a good home gym setup but my basement won't accommodate a good power rack and I've got no room anywhere else.

    Squat 225x5x3
    Press 120x5x3
    Power Clean 95x3x5

Started light with the power cleans. I have no idea how people manage to do these with even half their deadlift weight loaded on the bar. I tried doing one rep today fast off the floor and even though I got it to rack I missed the jumping position. Slow off the floor for now it is.

    Squat 230x5x3
    Bench 195x5x3
    Deadlift 305x5x1

Tried bringing the bench grip in one finger to pinkies on the rings. Got through the workout ok but the narrower grip lowered the touch point more than I'd like. Increasing my squat rest interval to 5 minutes from now on, was starting to run outta gas as the sets piled on.

    Weigh-In: 278.8

    Squat 235x5x3
    Press 125x5x3
    Power Clean 105x3x5

Power cleans had some good reps today. Some of them felt really smooth. Some not so much. Been strict pressing until today, might try and use the hips at 130 on friday, along with the belt. Probably gonna use the belt for 240 squats on wednesday too.

    Squat 240x5x3
    Bench 200x5x3
    Deadlift 315x5x1

Was nice to get lifting in today, been feeling anxious from work related stuff. Fixing iphones feels like disarming bombs sometimes. Lifted some weight, and in turn my anxiety was lifted as well. Hopefully it carries over into tomorrow. Probably gonna switch to hook grip on the deadlift next time, even though I can probably still do 325 double overhand.

Standing press PR! And I'm still doing them strict and haven't put the belt on yet. Probably gonna drop down to 2.5 pound jumps from now on and try to do the 2.0 movement along with wearing my belt.

Commander, Maybe I missed it but what are your height and age.

If you can do deads with double overhand at 325 you can do better than I can. I start hook grip at 225 and reverse grip at 325. Keep up the good work.

I don't think I included my height and age anywhere in here. I'm 36, height is a topic of some debate. I go with the measurement I've been told of 6'2", but some insist I must be 6'3" or even 6'4". But I think it's probably 6'2" and they just perceive me as taller than I am for some reason. I've done 325 double overhand in the past, but it was basically my limit for that grip, it would start to go at that point toward the end of the set. As the title suggests, this is not my first LP. So my numbers are not at all typical for someone fresh to this I am sure. They're certainly far ahead of what I was capable of the first time around.
