    Press: 130x5x3, 150x1 (PR!)


    Took a lifetime best single after a tough 3x5.

    Bench: 195x5 (5PR!), 155x5x2

    This took a lot out of Dov. Might've hit the rookie-wall on upper body work, or maybe the extra press single wrecked him a bit.

    BW: 203 (+5)

    Dov has gained 15lbs in 4 weeks. He stacks weight easily. Might have to throttle him some. He doesn't look "fatter" than when we started; quite the contrary. But the Army has ideas about how much someone is supposed to weigh.

    Squat: 235x5x3, 275x1 (PR!)


    Took a 40lb lifetime PR here and crushed it. The other side-spotter said Dov had another 20lbs in the tank, and I think he's right.

    Deadlift: 295x3x3

    Getting right up against the edge of Dov's ability to do a new top set every session. Going to try 300x3x2 next session, then probably start a heavy/light protocol.

    We won't get a day 4 this week, so we did all the lifts today.

    Squat: 245x5x3 (5PR, Sets Across PR)

    Took a +10.

    Press: 135x5 (5PR!), 115x5x2

    135 for 5 moved smoothly. Dov reports some strange tingling in the right arm throughout the press and deadlift; bench didn't go great as you'll see.

    Deadlift: 300x3x2 (3PR!)

    Because we went a day early on this, we have 5 days until next squat/pull. If he's recovered and the DL looks smooth, we'll do another 2x3 @ +5. Otherwise, we'll make that a light pull day. He's about due.

    Bench: 200x0

    After smooth warmup singles at 165 and 180, 200 just drifted slowly down and stayed. Reports as a biceps tightness. Monday we'll give that a look with some lighter volume benching and see if it works itself out.

    Much better today; whatever right-arm business was going on seems to have been transitory. Got the new PR sets of fahve done on press and bench, then took a lifetime Bench single at 220. 100 kilo club for Dov.

    Time to do some deadlift 3x3 work to build this up. Also, squat will probably go to top and drop.

    Working on back extension and on pressing the floor away (he has a tendency to hitch past his knees at higher weight; trying to kill that tendency).

    Bombed out on the press for 5 today. Got some volume underneath anyway.

    Bodyweight today was 204; Dov says this is the first time he's benched his bodyweight for reps, ever.
