SSNLP, W5D2
Squat: 92.5x5, 77.5x5x2
Top set of five came up no problem today.
Press: 37x8x3
More 8s. Glided up.
Deadlift: 115x5x2
Also glide.
Good session today.
Bodyweight down to 152. She wants to drop 12 more pounds. We'll find out empirically where that puts her lifts, and keep taking it slowly.

Another good one in the books. Gonna throttle "heavy" pull back to this 135 for now and aim for 140 next week.

Gonna scroll this back a lot. Julie was killing it, but then went inpatient for an internal medicine issue for 96 hours, followed by a scheduled 1-week family vacation. Hope to get her back under a bar soon.

Julie's finally back ... for two weeks of two sessions each, followed by another 4-week layoff. But we'll get these four sessions in while we can. Calling this Week 7.

Yeah, I know ... light sets of 8, barf. But it's the right move right now.
Also: Bodyweight now down to 148 so there's that. She still wants to hit 140 and hold there I think.

Same script as last session, except I told her to AMRAP the first two bench sets with a goal of 24 reps by set 3.

W9D1 (Returned after 4-week layoff)
Glorious family vacation on the Oregon Coast. I got 2 weeks; Julie stayed for 4 weeks with the kids.
Squat: 45x10x3
Press: 20x10x3
Deadlift: 75x8x2
Planning to scale down to sets of 5 over the course of several weeks. Movement pattern on Julie's lifts all look good, but she's still a) In calorie deficit, b) Not 100% recovered from whatever bizness put her in the hospital, and c) Back from vacation. So ... some body-builder style sets with lighter weights to dip her toes in. Thinking next time: 9s, then 8s, 7s, et cetera, adding weight each time until we're doing a "true" vanilla SSLP. THEN we start the slow grind toward lifetime PRs (or whatever amount of strength the newer, smaller, older Julie can channel into the bar).

Still hitting volume at lower weight, trending reps down and load up. Another week, maybe two, and we'll be back to fahves for her.
Meanwhile:
Bodyweight: 145
Julie's down 25lbs this year, 13 since she started lifting again. She's wearing jeans I haven't seen her wear since before we had kids.
