This post will close off this thread. I am bringing this thread to a close a bit early as I had begun an experiment between volume of sets and reps which should have carried into another week. However, I don't think I can draw any strong conclusions from it. PRs went up with both, and recovery is still my biggest challenge. I find it difficult if not impossible to post a PR in the press and then do well with the volume day as shown by this week.
