    Hello

Until about 2 years ago I've been pretty much sedentary working an office job and gained a lot of weight. At my heaviest I was 380lbs and currently weigh in at 341. I've done cardio off and on and ate at a caloric deficit to help me drop some weight but hated every minute of it. I had a tendency to binge eat once every couple of weeks.

I found starting strength the last week in January 2017 and began my LP on Feb 1st I heard Leah Lutz's story and I'm very inspired by it. I was very scared to squat so I did a few sets of BW squats before I was confident getting under the bar. I really like adding weight every time I train and I have lost about 4 lbs since I started. I eat more on a daily basis than I have in a long time but find I don't binge eat anymore which is a plus.

I've lost about 3 inches on my waist 2 inches around my neck and a 2 inches off my chest.

Finally, I recently reached out to Jordan Feigenbaum's team at Barbell Medicine to help me with my nutrition and programming. Still waiting to get my nutrition and new program from them.

Below are my logs since I've started. I'll do my best to keep this tread up to date with my progress.

Welcome to this community! We have a bunch of guys who are about your size and benefited greatly from doing the program - as you will, too. We'll be here to cheer you on and help out if needed!

Welcome from another Buckeye fan living in Bearcat territory!

Look forward to seeing your progress. How cool is it to add 100 lbs. to your squat and loose inches?

    Peez,

Glad to be here. I'm very excited with the results I have been getting with SS. Looking forward to sharing my progress with the forum. Maybe someday I'll be an inspiration for someone else!

Very cool to be able to add 100lbs to my squat and loose inches. Nice to know there is Buckeye fan in Bearcat territory (I suspect there may be quite a few)

    I-O!

There are a lot of us, but OSU doesn't get any local media coverage. There's a lot of "little brother" syndrome that goes on down here during football season.

Welcome. Even if you are a Buckeye....

This is a nice board. Lots of good people logging their lifts here. You've got a good start. Just stick with it and you'll do great!
