Yep. Cleans are to be used as a light pulling day since you're getting to the point where you can't pull heavy (deadlift) every single workout. Now that's not to say that you can't do cleans as part of your warmup for your deadlift workset, but you wouldn't do 3x5 of them.

    Keep at it!

I've now as of today's Workout transitioned to deadlifting every other day.

    Week 6 Day 2
    Squat 3x5x255
    Bench (paused) 3x5x195
    Power Cleans 5x3x120

I rotated forward 6 hours, so did my workout. But I got a job now and will be on a consistent schedule.

    Week 6 Day 3
    Squat 3x5x260
    Press 3x5x125
    Deadlift 5x355
Almost failed the deadlift. I need to work on locking it out, which is just a matter of driving ones hips forward.
The Press was not done for limit sets.
It's like the brofessor said about the powerlifts one is the best, one is worst and one is the hardest.

My parents are concerned that I'm buying too much milk. My mom fat shamed me for going up a pants size.

    Week 7 Day 1
    Squat 3x5x265
    Bench 3x5x197.5
    Power Clean 5x3x130
    bw: 188
Bodyfat (based on measuring tape): 19%
I gained 15 lb. of lean mass and 3 lb. of fat.
Power Clean is 37% of my deadlift. I rack it with my elbow down because I have long forearms. On the Squat I switched to a wider stance because of my long femurs.

    Week 7 Day 3
    Squat 3x5x270
    Bench 3x5x200
    Power Clean 5x3x135
    Overhead Extensions 20x23, 17x28, 12x38 lb.

I'm going to reduce the microloading to 1.5 lb
on the press. The Press and the Powerclean are 4-6 lb. heavier in every entry due to miscalibrated plates. I added in overhead exten. to work the long head of the tricep.

    Week 8 Day 1
    06-17-22
    Squat 3x5x275
    Press 3x5x130 (137)
    Deadlift 5x365

Due to the miscalibrated plates and the four clips I put on the press is 7 lb. heavier than the numbers say.
My bodyweight was 189 lb. today.
I've gone back to drinking soy milk. I'm eating more in the form of meat, crackers, veggies, and fruit.
I'm taking this medication that helps me sleep and boosts appetite.
My goal is to in four months to deadlift 5x440, which would put me at an approximate 1 rep max of 495.

Once my power clean is high relative to my deadlift I'll start practicing the snatch and use the ppfst Texas Method template for pulls. My Squat is pushing up my deadlift.

    starting strength coach development program
    Cycle 2 Week 1 Day 1
    Squat 245x5x3
    Press 137x5x3
    Deadlift 335x5

I took some time off to play hop scotch with intermediate programs having not stalled on my original LP. The relative intensity of each lift was going up because I wasn't gaining bodyweight fast enough.

As a result I've regressed a little bit due to giving all the lifts equal attention but I've added some muscular bodyweight.

I'm looking forward to running things back up, which will be easier this time around.
