Very happy my wife has decided to join me in strength training.

Program I have started her on is "1A Rank Novice Program" from the "Barbell Prescription". She suffers the usual complaints of aging as well as some akin to females specifically. We are working slowly to get her into the movements. My only real concern right now is the squat. Flexibility is a real issue and it will take time for this to improve. At this point I have her using a 1" aluminum tube and just body weight.

    Squat: Body weight - 3r x 5s
    Bench: 32lbs - 3r x 5s
    Deadlift: 53lbs - 1r x 5s

Hey brotha, how are you doing those deadlifts? Got really light bumpers, or a lightweight training bar, or?

    Hey Geoff

I bought her, her own bar, a PINK Bella 2.0! She loves it! And yes, 10lbs (actually 10.6) bumper plates. Very proud of my young lass.

Niiice. The Bella bar is so much easier to hold on to during the deadlift. What a wonderful gift! She's a lucky lady.

Well, she is everything under the sun to me Tiny, so anything I can do to support her efforts, she has. And Rogue just does things right.

The pink color made her smile and the little doggy peaking out at her from the end cap made her giggle.
