    07/25/22 Monday

Squat 265x5x3 Went light, nothing in my knee except for the walk out of the rack.
    Bench 177.5x5x3
Deadlift 325x5 Did this set in half the time of Friday's workout. Put a video of friday's workset in the technique forum and it helped my confidence. Didn't roll the bar forward today either
    Chins 6,5,5

    07/27/22 Wednesday

    Squat 275x5x3
    Press 107.5 4,3,3
    Chins 6,6,4

Took the deadlift out. I was super sore and I want to make sure I can get it on friday. I've started working at a rock climbing gym and I think the climbing may have messed up my press.

    07/29/22 Friday

Squat 285x5x3 Knee hasn't bothered me since 07/25, and even that was nothing much. Now it's just heavy again lol.
Bench 180x3x5 Switched to sets of 3. Felt good but I'm not sure I could've made five's.
Deadlift 330x4 Missed the last rep. I'll get it monday for sure.
Chins 4, called it. I spent 3 hours rock climbing yesterday and I was just totally gassed by this point.

rock climbing has to help the chins, and vice versa, I would assume

and it's also a hell of a lot more fun

You're probably right. I just started working there last week so I'm super new to everything. It's a lot of fun so far though. Have you ever tried it?

Not in a gym, no. Many moons ago as a kid used to scramble in boulder fields, but nothing too crazy.

    08/03/22 Wednesday

    Squat 295x5x3
Bench 182.5 x 3,3,3,3,2 :'( I will get it next time for sure. Barely missed it
Deadlifting Monday and friday. Will probably introduce light squats next week.
No chins, had a rockclimbing event and ran out of time. Will continue chins on friday.

    Hey Roy!
    What's your current bodyweight?
Is your goal to get stronger for rockclimbing?
Is this why you are doing chins every workout and no cleans?
I'm just curious on how you're approaching this

    Hello!
It was 195 when I weighed last week. I will weigh again tomorrow to see if I'm gaining
My goal is to squat 405x5, DL 500x5 and obtain a bodyweight press.
I am not doing cleans because I've been a bit of a lazy little shit.
I need to learn them for several reasons but the most important one in my mind is the fact that I would like to become an SSC.

This is the best medicine I've ever found. I can't think of another single factor in my life (perhaps psychadelics) that has had such a massive impact of quality of life. I would like to become an SSC to share that with as many people as I can.
It's been said that intelligent people try to find a way to get paid for doing the things they love.
I've never really had interest in sports beside wrestling (and Cross country in highschool, god help me). Rock climbing has peaked my interested and I've found it very enjoyable. It's nice to be able to express the strength one spends so long building.
