Just the basics
The AI chat bot has generated some training logs.
I'm 45, 5'11", 230lbs. Haven't touched a barbell since 2011, when I threw out my back thanks to poor squat form.
Goals: M, W, F (sometimes Saturdays.) Eat enough, sleep enough. Keep adding weight until I can't any more.
6 Nov (Monday)
Squat 3x5 @ 105
Bench 3x5 @ 95
Gym closed before I could deadlift. Womp womp.
8 Nov (Wed)
Squat 3x5 @ 110
Press 3x5 @ 75
Dead 3x5 @ 135
I didn't know you were supposed to do +10 lbs at first.
11 Nov (Sat)

Bench 3x5 @ 105
Dead 3x5 @ 140
13 Nov (Mon)

Missed Friday, family crap.

Dead 1x5 @ 185
27 Nov (Mon)

Dead 1x5 @ 195
29 Nov (Wed)
Squat 3x5 @ 185
Press 3x5 @ 95
Dead 1x5 @ 205
I recorded my squats this session (29 Nov) because I thought I might be going too deep. I tried not to go too deep, but ended up not quite getting below parallel. So I repeated this squat weight next session.
2 Dec (Sat)
Squat 3x5 @ 185
Bench 3x5 @ 125
Dead 3x5 @ 215
At this point I decided to change to +5lbs per workout. I might be able to pull off a few more +10s but why push it?
4 Dec (Mon)
Squat 3x5 @ 190
Press 3x5 @ 100
Dead 3x5 @ 220
Could have done 225, but whatever. It's not a sprint.

Welcome, Oberon. We're in a similar spot but I'm older, lighter and haven't lifted before. You're making great progress and, you're right, it's not a sprint.
