    Are you really doing a low bar squat? I'm only asking because of your knee position. If they were to travel more forward your angles would be different in oder to maintain balance, your back would be more upright, which makes me wonder about your bar position.
    With legs very much long enough relative to his torso, a balanced low bar squat might produce a shin that's almost vertical. He just needs to get his knees forward earlier. The addition of a heeled shoe will help him get more quad involvement, which will help things a lot.
