    Default 2nd Squat Form check

    • starting strength seminar august 2024
    This is my second squat form check, the first is in Rips Q&A. Today I tried to focus on keeping the bar in the "slot". Let me know what you guys think.

    This is silliness and can be ignored. Your knees will be fine, but where your rectus femoris inserts on the hip may start to hurt because your knees have a tendency to slide forward at the bottom. This is a relatively common problem, but it should be fixed. Lots of squat videos here show this fault. Also, try directing your gaze downward instead of straight ahead.

    True... when I notice this pain it's because I'm not paying enough attention to anchoring my knees.
