GOYAD for the stomach, or half M and half Yogurt. Otherwise, YNDTP.

Sorry to revive the thread again but what exactly is the standard barbell height for a deadlift.

Standard Oly plates are 45 cm in diameter.

So this would mean the bar should be 22.5cm up my shin

No, your shins will not be vertical. The horizontal center of the bar should be 22.5 cm above the lifting surface you are standing on.

Hint: get your parents to get you some 10,15,25,35 lbs bumper plates for Christmas.

Or get a job on the side to pay for 'em if you can. Maybe only 22 and 45 lbs bumpers and cast iron for the smaller ones to make it cheaper if you need to.

New update! Getting new plates. I made a deadlift platform out of cardboard and gym foam stuff, not great but it elevates the bar to about 22-23cm. Feels very different, for one my hamstrings feel really tight during setup and overall deadlifting feels is faster and more explosive.
    Will post new video soon

Yeah, after looking through the footage I noticed that whilst my hips no longer shoot up, my back is still just as rounded. Judging for the tight feeling in the hams maybe it could be a mobility issue?
