Hello, I'm trying to improve my squat technique and asked a friend to film it. I have two videos:

    A) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMbYmUBHNw0

    B) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lclk63lYBYE

The A video is with a heavier weight and I think my last reps were really bad compared to the first ones, the B video is really light and I think it is all right with it, but I'd like to know if something is wrong.

    Thanks for reading

I only watched the first video.

Why are you doing 60 reps instead of 5?

You're breaking at the hips ahead of the knees. Actually, you're never standing up between reps at all. Break hips and knees together, get the knees to their spot by the time you're halfway down. Finish the reps. Stand up. Take a breath. Get tight. Then descend. Also, you don't need to be in the absolute epicenter of the room to squat. Somewhere in the vicinity of the squat rack is actually okay.

    Thanks for the reply.
Yes, I realized that I need to stand up, I think I was afraid that my hips would move forward. About breaking hips and knees together, do you know if there is any video specifically addressing that ? I believe this is a long time problem that I have.
I'm doing more reps just to make the video longer. I'm do not do that amount of reps in my normal training.
Indeed I got far away from the squat rack just to better see the movement, normally I do not do that.

Start at 03:55 or a little sooner. I mean, watch the whole video (really, you will benefit), but pay extra super special attention to the stuff that starts around 03:55.

Thanks once again, I already knew the video and actually based myself on it to make these movements, however I paid more attention now that you said. I actually have a hard time to see what he did wrong when he moved his hips (in fact, I do not see anything wrong), is it when he hit parallel and go a little forward with his torso ? Also, I think he is not entirely stand up (but maybe that is just an effect of the camera, since I'm not seeing him completely), at least not in his first reps and that is why I tried to not be completely stand up.
