    Question Squat and Clean FC

    • starting strength seminar jume 2024
    • starting strength seminar august 2024
    • starting strength seminar october 2024
    I've been doing the SS program for 2 months, so far:

    Squat: 40kg -> 100kg
    Bench: 35kg -> 58.5kg
    Overhead Press: 25kg -> 36kg
    Deadlift: 50kg -> 130kg
    Clean: 30kg -> 40kg (started these recently)

    80kg Squat


    40kg Clean


    Main concerns are:
    * potentially rounding the bottom of my back at the bottom of the squat (definitely doesn't feel like I am, but in the vid it looks a bit like it)
    * arms aren't locked for long enough in the explosive part of the clean

    I know the angle of the clean video sucks..

    Squat: bar is too high, and some other things, but start with the bar placement cause that will likely change many other aspects of your form.

    Power clean: Camera angle sucks, just see a silhouette/eclipse of a man. No setup per the SS pull model if that's what you're going for. However, I think you maybe easier to teach/learn from what I can tell, at least you rack it easier than most beginners

    Assuming you have the book,

    PC: Faster elbows. Vertical jump stance. Start with perfect deadlift setup every time (except grip width of course) from the book.
