    I'm just learning how to squat and press properly as is outlined in starting strength and any tips of critiscism are very welcome

    Press ... Your not getting a lot of bounce out of the bottom. Push those hips harder forward and faster, then dive under the bar as soon as it clears your forehead.

    Squats ... Watch for a little knee slide (forward) at the bottom. Get the knees in position early and squat down behind them.

    Beyond that, really well done.

    I agree with deepsky.

    As he pointed out you need to use your hips like a whip. You are also slightly dropping the bar when you rebound your hips, instead you just want the rebound of your hips to thrust the bar straight up with no bounce.

    Also I get some pain in my right elbow when squatting and perhaps it could be from the thumbless grip, the pain continued in my bench sets later on do you think it's worth trying out a thumb under grip or just working thought it...many thanks again
