    Default Power clean form check

    • starting strength seminar jume 2024
    • starting strength seminar august 2024
    • starting strength seminar october 2024
    Added in power cleans towards the end of my LP at 135 lbs. Today I did 5x3 at 185 (last set shown). My first rep always feel easy then the other two feel different. Not necessarily hard but the form feels off compared to my 1st rep.

    You're catching in your hands rather than in the rack. Get your elbows up faster.

    Hello,

    looks like you are (slighlty) arm pulling all three of them. If you look in slo-mo, your elbows start bending before you actually finish your extension. It might be one of the reasons why your finish is a bit too slow (as Michael noted above).

    Lose the belt firstly as it interferes with your low back setting. Second i see at least in 2 reps you are not in touch with your legs in any part of the pull and most importantly miss the jump spot in your mid thigh. Lower some weight, do the deadlift part of the lift slowly and when the bar touches mid- thigh, jump. Also i dont see any inward turn of the elbows at the start of the pull. Here are some things i saw.
