Hey everyone, appreciate any feedback on my technique.

    YouTube

    Notes:

308lbs / 140kgs. 3x5 - but only last 2 sets in the video. I had worked up to 336lbs / 152.5kgs 3x5, but form so bad I deleveraged back to 308lbs last week.

Video taken at hip level, one set at 45 degrees, another from back.

I notice I don't keep my head down.

Doesn't look like I am going deep enough.

At the bottom of the squat my grip on the bar loosens a lot.

Often the bumper plates get a bit of a spin motion going, on the way up out of the hole.

    Very high level quick points...

    1. See how you got on your tippy toes to unrack? Bad. Set the hooks at least a notch or two lower
    2. You're at least 6-8" high... you need to lower the weight and reach depth
    3. Not sure why your elbows are moving... they should stay still
    4. Looks almost like you're trying to good morning the weight...
    5. Leave the audio in the video next time, so we can hear breathing/bracing
    6. From the back view, your knees need to travel in the same direction as your toes are pointed - you'll hurt your knees having them come in the way they do...

I'd really work on first reaching depth and post a video after that... doesn't have to be a lot of weight, but there are all kinds of problems and I think they're due to that. You wouldn't be able to make some of those mistakes if you did a full rep, methinks...

Awesome, thanks for fast reply. Yeah I had a feeling the performance indicator would be hovering between Bad and Ugly somewhere.

"you'll hurt your knees having them come in the way they do..."

My right knee has been complaining for a while now. During squats there is no pain, but later on sometimes the knee locks up and I have to stay off it - stand or walk for short amount of time only.

Will get to work on this, thanks again.
