    Narrow your stance by about half of your foot's width. Don't let the bar move forward as you set up. Stand up all the way, but without shrugging.

    Chuck the Chucks and get a proper lifting shoe. What weight do you have on the bar?

    I only have 220 lbs on the bar here. I'm just starting out. I'm going to try on a pair of adidas powerlifting shoes that a guy is selling in town. Do you think those will be good for deadlifts too or just squats?
