    Default Squat and power clean check please

    Hello y'all,

    Thanks again for the continuing assistance with my lifts. Today I have the last set of my squat and also my power clean. This is my first time doing the power clean in a while because IHBDTP, please forgive me.

    Clean:
    You're on your toes. Shift your entire body back. Set your back harder before you pull.

    This weight is too light.

    Squat:
    Get your knees forward earlier. They should be in their final horizontal position at about a half squat.
    Needs more hip drive.
    You're looking too close. Look 5ft in front of you.

    Hard to tell from this shot but you may need to pull your chest up more (could be because of the gaze direction) give this article a read Identifying and Correcting Thoracic Spinal Flexion in the Squat | Bill Hannon

    Your elbows are hiked up instead of tight by your side give this one a read to and keep them pinned to your trunk

    Fixing one will sometimes fix the other pretty effectively, but good to be aware of both.
