Squat Form Check & question about weight increases
Hi there,
I'm 8 sessions back into NLP after 2 1/2 weeks off over New Years. Tonight I've just reached 80kg in the squat - my best and broken my body weight - so I'm pleased. I've been going up by 5kg a session for the last 5 sessions, but plan to switch to 2.5kg jumps from now on and my goal is to get to 100kg. My legs are pretty skinny - they're getting bigger - but my quads are often sore for a couple of days so I'm thinking I might have to think about having a lighter day or trying HLM sometime soon. I'll see how I recover after the next few sessions and try and eat some more and get more sleep. Or I may need 2 full days off between sessions but I'd like to continue on my Sat/Mon/Wed schedule. We'll see....
Anyway, I've had trouble with my right knee wobbling in a little on the ascent. I've been warming up with an elastic below my knees to help me keep both knees out and it may be helping. Just wondering how it seems here.
Going off the speed of the bar, would you say I could keep jumping 5kg? I didn't feel like I would fail at all tonight, and took 3 minutes of rest between sets.
Hard to see in the video but we just got 30cm of snow this afternoon here on the outskirts of Tokyo. It was heavenly to train in. Apologies for the lighting in the video, it's a little dark
Many thanks
Matt

Eat more, sleep more, rest 5 mins between sets, switch to 2.5kg jumps. Nice work so far. Oh also, make sure to get your feet in the videos

Thanks for taking a look and the advice. I'll switch to 2.5kg jumps and keep plugging away. And make sure to get the feet in next time. Sorry bout that. Have a great day.
