    Hey stevow7,

    It looks like you have the common deadlifting problem of not knowing how to control the lumbar spine. Watch the below video on methods for teaching how to learn low back control and go through these steps yourself until you can produce spinal extension on command. Once you can do it standing up, get used to tightening the back again as per step 4 of the deadlift setup method, and then make sure you keep recording your deadlift sets to ensure you're keeping the lumbar spine in tight extension through the whole movement. Start at the lightest weight you need to in order to keep extension. I coached a neighbor of mine with the exact same problem, and the methods Rip explains in the video worked on him within about 10 minutes.
