Squat form check
Hi all,
I've deloaded my squats a lot to work on trying to stay balanced over mid foot. I have a problem of being too far forward on the ascent. I think maybe it has to do with me driving my hips up at the expense of letting my chest drop a little.
I would appreciate any feedback

Thank you

Did you feel off balance forward on these squats? I didn't see a indication of that. Your stance may be a little bit wide for the SS model squat - I'm basing this on how close your left toe is to the rubber - but I can't tell from this angle for sure and even if you are a little wide that wouldn't make you forward of mid foot.
I also don't see a failure to maintain chest up while driving the hips.

Hey,
Thanks for your reply.
Its not that I felt forward, just when I re watch the video, on the ascent the bar loops on reps 1-4 whereas 5 it is straight up and down. Also I have had some minor low back pain for quite some time (nost muscle soreness) where bending forward aggravates it, especially in the mornings. My deadlift is pulled from mid foot with flat back so assume the culprit has to be the squat.
Thanks

Hey Csaba,
I wish I had a good answer for you, but I re-watched the video and don't see anything that looks dangerous. Maybe a more experienced eye can chime in and assist.

Hey,
Thanks for your reply.
Yesterday's squats seem to be better. If you or anyone notices any errors, any feedback is greatly appreciated.
Thank again

I see some really solid squats. Nice work, Csaba.
