Just upgraded to some Romaleos. I went with 9.5 similar to my run shoes for last 25 years. I have about a thumbnail gap on my left big toe. too big? or just right?

Gap only on left big toe, or both? If your feet have a remarkable difference in size, you should have different shoe size for each leg. And in best case, for best support and stability, you should have shoes that fit perfectly, not too loose, not too tight.
But use whatever you have access to, and make it work.

left foot is about 1.5 to 2mm longer. so slightly more gap on right foot. I ordered some 9s. Ill try those too.
