I've just started adding the Starting Strength hip motion to my press and want to make sure it looks okay. Any advice for mine?

    Thanks!

Take us a picture of your grip width.

Here's a couple reps at my usual width (and no gym clothes because it was a recovery day).

your grip is too wide IMO.

bring it in until your forearms are vertical.

The bar seems pretty low at your start position (moving the grip in will help a little with that) but you seem totally collapsed ... just holding in there.

When viewed from the side, make sure your elbows are out in front of the bar a little in the start posisiton.

Looks wide. See how your forearms are angled out? You want them nice and vertical from the front view. You don't look like a very tall guy, so your ideal grip might even be right where the smooth and the knurl meet. In your first video, the plates are mostly blocking the view of what your elbows are doing, but it looks like you're starting with them behind the bar. Get them in front of the bar, even if it means the bar starts off floating up near your chin. You're also letting your wrists extend at the top, particularly the left one. Take your grip as explained in the book, and make sure you keep those wrists straight.

    Hip bounce looks decent though!

Vertical at the bottom, just to be clear. Move it in about four fingers, as mentioned.
