You're selectively reading. Open it and read about what full depth is and what all the way down means. Pay attention to figure 2-10.

I am still having the same problem of this natural tendency for my right ankle to roll inward (the left side does not move inward as freely).
I have tried squatting with an approximate 30-35 degree toe angle with varying stance widths.
Would a shoe insert solve this issue?
The shoe I currently wear is an Adidas Leistung 2 and I also own Rogue Do Wins.

Maybe you could slow down a little, so you have enough time to make the corrections.

In addition to slowing down, it looks like your toes still need to come in more. I'd actually leave the toes where they are and put heels out another inch or two each. Then make sure your knees are shoving out far enough.

When I squat should I deliberately keep more weight on the outside of the right foot to try to keep it planted to the floor?

Ok, I think I get it. Glad I looked at this site, where the coaches note some squats are too deep. Again, I may be missing more explanation, but the book seems pretty oblique about that; Fig 2-10 shows increasing depth, but doesn't say that (surprise to me) "ass to grass" is apparently TOO deep.

Anyway, I truly love this book and have recommended it to many others as a great guide for newbies. Been at this for about a year. Never looked or felt better. Keep up the good work.

But I will send a video of my squat. Just to make sure!

Yes, the book is famous for its obliqueness.

Ha ha. Well, maybe in this case. But overall, the detail is comprehensive and impressive, especially on anatomy fine points. Thanks for writing it. (Have 3rd ed.)

See Rip’s note about slowing down. And also read the sticky on the forum to film with a better camera angle.
